General Superintendent
Description
General Superintendents are responsible for the daily operations of a site, leading a team to ensure that company standards are met efficiently in regard to safety, scheduling, budget, quality and overall customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensures that the day-to-day organization of contractors and their sub-contractors turn out high-quality work that meets company deadlines
· Coordinates the planning, scheduling, implementation of quality concrete repair/replacement/new installation from development through final construction on a timely economical basis
· Manages project budget
· Oversees the scheduling, delivery and use of materials, the quality of construction, worker productivity and safety compliance
· Excellent knowledge of building and safety codes
· Maintains clean, safe, and OSHA complaint job sites
· Documents and communicates the work plan and reports changes made in the field
· Displays excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate problems before they arise
· Obtains and verify all subcontractor permits for construction purposes
· Prepares daily, monthly, and quarterly reports
· Builds working relationships among owners, contractors, union, and customer by maintaining a trustworthy environment
· Locates, negotiate pricing, obtain insurance information, and scope of work for based on labor needs
· Leads meetings on a regular basis
Requirements
· OSHA 30 hour certified
· Ability to read blueprints
· BS or MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
· 10-15 years of experience in commercial/industrial/residential construction project or multiple projects in a superintendent role (an equivalent combination of education and experience knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable)
· Excellent organizational skills
· Excellent technical and communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
· Excellent leadership skills and ability to delegate effectively
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Must have experience and proficiency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Must have experience supervising a team
· Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
· Must be able to operate basic construction equipment
· Must be able to create an environment where safety comes first and possess an incident and injury free attitude
· Must supervise the safe transitioning of sub-contractors to and from job site
· Attending safety meetings and regularly schedule safety training for crew members
· Must ensure that projects are completed on time or ahead of schedule

Description
Concrete Finishers are responsible for various tasks including but not limited to placing, finishing, repairing, and protecting concrete. Concrete Finishers will finish footers and sidewalks. Concrete Finishers will meet or exceed company standards efficiently in regard to safety, scheduling, budget, quality and overall customer satisfaction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
· Prepares, places, shapes and finishes concrete
· Displays an overall general knowledge of concrete construction and willingness to learn
· Sets forms to desired pitch, depth and proper alignment
· Checks forms for proper construction
· Finishes by hand and/or use of a power trowel
· Washes away excess concrete
· Monitors weather elements for effect on the curing of concrete
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
· High School Diploma
· Must have a Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
· 1 year of experience in commercial/industrial/residential construction project or multiple projects in a concrete finisher role preferred but not required
· Excellent communication skills
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Ability to operate basic construction equipment a plus
· Must be able to create an environment where safety comes first and possess an incident and injury free attitude
· Must attend all mandatory safety meetings and training
· Must work with other crew members to ensure that projects are completed on time or ahead of schedule
